Good Books to Learn Geography For UPSC

Here’s a good list to start with; Climatology and Oceanography for GS Paper and pick one that sounds good to you.  I would say Geography Through Maps is the most important. book for Maps by K.Siddhartha Sir.
After that, start reading about climate change and the emerging “internet of things.” Many geographers consider climatology to be a sub field of physical geography, and that climate change is one of the most important issues of our time.

How do you write a good introduction paragraph in the UPSC exams?

A well written introduction is a must in your essay /answer of GS and optional papers.
 Introduction:
  • Because the introduction is the first portion of your essay /answer the examiner reads, the stakes are fairly high for your introduction to be on the mark.
  • A good introduction to essay catches attention and makes your reader engaged right from the very start.
  • A good introduction presents a broad overview of your topic and should convince the examiner that it is worth their time to actually read the rest of your essay/answer.
Always keep in mind while writing introduction to GS answer:
  • Directly address the topic in the question, don’t deviate from the topic.
  • Start with either definition, fact, report , etc to make your answer more authentic.
Importance for introduction to essay:
Begin with an attention grabber.
